Position Title: Firefighter/Paramedic
The Ashland Division of Fire is hiring for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. Candidates are required to complete NTN's FireTEAM exam and Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ)
Salary Information: Starting Pay $55,000 top out $68,032
Benefit Information:
New Employees start out on a 45 hour work week, which is Monday-Friday 06:30-15:30 each day. This continues for aproximately 4 weeks, but no more than 6 weeks, which is the employee's orientation. Then they will be assigned a shift and they will work 24hrs on 48hrs off. Once on shift they will have to complete drive time of some of the apparatus before they will count as staffing.
ADDITIONAL TESTING REQUIRED
The Ashland Division of Fire will be utilizing Cuyahoga Community College's CPAT for the physical ability test. This testing is a pass or fail type of testing, any time greater than 4 minutes and 30 seconds will be considered a fail. Testing needs to be completed by March 17, 2025. Upon completion please upload your certificate on NTN.

Department Overview: Ashland Division of Fire is an active two station fire department that responded to 4,896 calls in 2024. Current staffing levels are 12 members per shift with a minimum of 9 members each day. The Division provides citizens of the City of Ashland, Montgomery and Milton Townships with fire suppression, EMS, Hazmat, technical rescue, and fire prevention. Division members work a traditional 24 on/48 off work schedule. The Division offers many training opportunities.
