The Winslow Police Department is currently testing for this position. The first step in the hiring process is creating an AZ Post account. Once the post packet is completed there should be an option to share the packet and you will need to share it with the Winslow Police Department. You should be given a 6-7 digit code, we will need that code to access the post packet. Also, at the bottom of the AZ Post packet there is an Authorization for Release of Information form that needs to be filled out and notarized. Salary
$51,055.00 - $64,371.00 Annually
Summary
Hiring BonusAll hiring bonuses are listed as the net-pay you will receive.
· Recruit Officer incentive pay: $15,000.
· $1,000 after hire date.
· $1,000 after successful completion of Basic Training Academy.
· $3,000 after successful completion of Field Training.
· $5,000 after successful completion of officer probation.
· $2,500 at beginning of fiscal year following completion officer probation.
· $2,500 at beginning of fiscal year following previous fiscal year bonus.
Moving ExpensesAll moving expenses are listed as the net-pay you will receive. If a lateral officer, recruit officer, or dispatcher moves to within 5 miles of the City borders after receiving a final offer of employment, that individual may be eligible for a one-time moving expense payment.
· Guidelines for this payment are as follows:
· In-state (Arizona) move under 90 miles: $250
· In-state (Arizona) move over 90 miles: $500
· Out-of-state move: $1,500
Uniform StipendAn annual uniform stipend of $1,800 will be provided for sworn officers. Police cadets will receive $900 upon hire and an additional $900 upon successful completion of the academy.Under basic supervision, the Police Cadet attends Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Board basic training academy to obtain Arizona Peace Officer Certification. This position is a tentative “At-Will” appointment and subject to a probationary period of twelve (12) months from the date of hire. Upon successful completion of a probationary period, a non-management employee shall be granted regular status in the classification in which the probationary period is served.

· Attends classroom training sessions and takes notes required to obtain State Peace Officer Certification.
· Completes written, oral, and skills proficiency examinations for a wide variety of required Peace Officer skills and knowledge and maintains required levels of proficiency.
· Participates in physical conditioning training and testing and maintains required levels of physical fitness.
· Adheres to AZ POST academy rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent AND must be (21) years of age. Must successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation including a polygraph.
Physical Demands/Working Environment
Work is performed in a classroom environment and in the field for training exercises.Must meet the minimum POST standards for medical examinations and physical ability.
