The Jackson Township Fire Department is actively accepting applications for full-time Firefighters/Paramedics. Candidates are required to complete the NTN Fireteam exam and Public Safety SELF Assessment (PSSA).

Physical Agility Test: Due to the nature of a Firefighter/Paramedic's job, candidates must pass the Jackson Township Fire Division's Physical Agility Test (PAT) to be considered for employment. Applicants can request a copy of instructions to review the JTFD physical agility test by emailing hr@jacksontwp.org. Note: Physical Agility Testing will take place by appointment only, and only during active hiring. Qualified applicants may call Angela at 614-991-6889 or email hr@jacksonttwp.org to schedule the PAT.
Salary Information: 2025 Annual = $84,820.40 to $103,368.83

*Selected applicant(s) must successfully complete an orientation training period. The orientation period can be 1 week up to 6 weeks, which includes: a 40-hr work week (Monday – Friday 08:00 to 16:00); then assigned to a unit schedule (24/48) with a mentor, with a final orientation evaluation completed before placed on a permanent unit. Orientation/Training schedule is subject to change as needed by the trainer(s) and/or the Fire Chief.
