Department Overview
The City of Garfield Heights, Ohio is looking for qualified candidates for the position of police officer. The Garfield Heights Police Department handles approximately 24,000 calls for service each year and offers an opportunity to police in many challenging environments. There are ample opportunities for advancement and specialization including Patrol, Investigations, Drug task force, K-9, Bomb Squad, S.W.A.T., Traffic investigation Unit, Crisis Negation Unit, Traffic Enforcement Unit, and School resource officer. The City of Garfield Heights operates its own full service jail, communication center, and Court which are located in the justice center building.
