In anticipation of increased Part-Time employment opportunities, York Area United Fire and Rescue is accepting application for:

Full-Time Firefighter/EMT Positions

Starting Salary Range for 2026 is $51,116.11 - $54,431.44
(dependent upon which CBA applies and the results of an arbitration award)
Cash Balance Retirement Plan through Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System
24 Hours on Duty / 48 Hours off Duty Schedule with 9 Kelly Days
Paid Holidays
No Experience Necessary

Candidates will be pulled for CPAT testing, based on ranking following the written exam depending upon the hiring needs of the department.

YAUFR will accept CPAT certifications that are less than two years old for Full-Time and Part-Time positions
