With the Police Center 28 years old and a newly constructed City Hall facility, the City is developing at a rapid pace. The City of Prospect Heights offers opportunities for development and growth within its Police Department. The decision to become a Police Officer should be made in conjunction with those who will be affected by the job. Being a Police Officer can be rewarding, but it also is demanding. Police Officers work unusual hours, including weekends and holidays. They tend to see more of the unpleasant side of life and the exposure to stress after a number of years can take its toll.
