Salary Information: $79,496-109,990
Benefit Information: Firefighter/Paramedics with Bartlett Fire District are covered under the Bartlett Professional Firefighter's Association. Salary and benefits are negotiated with the Firefighter's union.

Age: 20-35 Must be 21 to be hired full-time
US Citizen: Yes, or eq.
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid State Driver’s License: Yes
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision: Must meet NFPA/1582
College: Not Required
Academy Certification:
Necessary Certifications

IDPH or National Registry EMT- Paramedic - OR -
Must be currently enrolled in a paramedic program.

Pass a Polygraph test
Pass a thorough background investigation
Pass a psychological examination
Pass a medical examination
Certification as IL Basic Operations Firefighter or Pass a fire academy and obtain IL Basic Operations Firefighter certification (if not already certified)
Valid CPAT and Ladder climb (within one year prior) at the time of conditional offer.

SELECTION PROCESS:

•Completion of the National Testing Network written exam

• Completion of the Bartlett Fire District application www.bartlettilfd.gov/apply

• Submission of preference points and all supporting documentation WITHIN 10 DAYS OF APPLICATION SUBMISSION (documents found on the application website).

From this process, the District will create an eligibility list. The list is a rolling list, with candidates' individual expiration dates ending 24 months after they are placed on it. Eligibility lists are available on the District website.
