Turtlecreek Township is now accepting applications for Full Time Firefighter/Paramedic-preferred or Firefighter/EMT.
Applications will be accepted until March 19th, 2025 @ noon.
Step 1 pay for 2025 is $21.63 (EMT) - $23.69 (medic) per hour with full benefit package paid by employer. Lateral hires may be considered at the discretion of the Employer. Service credit for full-time service with a political subdivision of the State of Ohio will be accepted for vacation accrual rates.
Perks and Benefits working for the township include per IAFF Local #5353 contract:
· Paid Time off which includes
o Holidays – 92 additional hours of holiday compensation paid annually, worked holidays receive time and a half compensation.
o Vacation – Accrual at hire of 1.846 hours per pay period (year 1) 4.615 hours per pay (years 2-5)
· Benefits – Health Insurance Premiums employer paid 100%
o Co-Insurance and Deductible reimbursed to employee up to an allotted amount
o Dental and Vision insurance provided by the employer
o $100,000 life insurance policy provided by the employer
· Ohio Police & Fire Pension
· Hours are 24/48
· Kelly Day every 6 weeks (52-hour work week)

Department Overview
Located in the heart of Warren County, Turtlecreek Township is a growing rural/suburban community with an array of unique target hazards, housing options from large farms to modern sub-divisions. I-75 and I-71 both transverse through what is one of Ohio’s largest townships in landmass.
A recent organizational assessment of the Fire and EMS department was conducted with more than 40 recommendations for improvements to be made. The township is working to implement the recommendations which include increasing full-time personnel, additional on-duty staffing, three staffed stations, a fire station relocation project and updates to the fleet, equipment, and training programs.
