Position Title: Police Officer
Salary Information: $83,303 - $116,045

Job Requirements

Age: 21
US Citizen: Yes, or lawful permanent resident alien and meet all State and Federal eligibility requirements to be a law enforcement officer
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid State Driver’s License: Yes
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision: Vision correctable to 20/20 and free from colorblindness
College: Associate's Degree or equivalent college credit hours (60 hours)
Academy Certification: No
Prior Experience: No
Necessary Certifications: POWER test card dated no earlier than 1 year prior to application deadline
Additional Requirements:

Ability to pass all selection and training requirements
Agree to a two-year reimbursement of expenses
No felony convictions (Note: a misdemeanor or serious traffic offense may also disqualify applicants from further consideration)
Applicants must be under 35 years of age when placed on the eligibility list except as otherwise provided by Illinois State Statute.

Completion and submission of the National Testing Network written examination (a passing score of 75% required).

Background investigation
Polygraph examination
Candidates receiving a conditional job offer will be required to pass a psychological examination, medical examination, and drug screening
