Position Title: Police Officer

Salary Information: $75,504 to $96,366

Job Requirements:

Age: 21
US Citizen: Yes
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid Oregon State Driver’s License: Yes
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision Requirements: Must have vision correctable to 20/30. Additional information on medical requirements can be found on the DPSST F-2 Law Enforcement Medical Examination form.
College: Previous college-level training or experience in law enforcement is desirable but not required.
Academy Certification: Preference given to applicants with active Police certifications through DPSST.
Prior Experience: Preference given to applicants with prior relevant experience.
Necessary Certifications: Possess and maintain a valid Oregon Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
Additional Requirements: Previous training related to police equipment or operations, e.g. First Aid/CPR, hazardous materials, firearms training, or LEDS General level certification is desirable but not required at time of hire.

Complete panel interview.
Successfully pass comprehensive background investigation.
Undergo psychological screening conducted and interpreted by licensed psychologist.
Successfully pass comprehensive medical examination and drug screening conducted by a licensed physician.
