Civil Service ExaminationCity of Aurora, OhioPolice Office III - Entry Level The Aurora Police Department is establishing an eligibility list for Police Officer III (entry level).Opportunities within the department include Patrol, K-9, Metro Swat, drones, crash investigation team, bike patrol, task force officers. EXCELLENT BENEFITS:· Starting Pay for 2026 – Police Officer III $40.28/hour ($83,782.40). Max out in 3 years to Police Officer I - $51.75/hour ($107,640.00)· Vacation – After the first year, 2 weeks with annual increases topping out at twenty years with 5 weeks· Safety Forces Stipend - $1350.00 annually· Firearms Proficiency Allowance - $900.00 annually· Annual Uniform Allowance - $1400.00 annually· Longevity – After 5 years of full-time service with the City of Aurora $360.00 with annual increases through 20 years· Health Benefits – Medical, Dental and Vision for you and your dependents after 30 days· Sick leave – 120 hours per year annually with carry over for unused amounts· Compensatory Time – Accruals to 240 hours maximumMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (upload documentation directly to NTN):High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate or equivalent
