Position Title: Full-Time 9-1-1 Telecommunicator
Salary Information: $51,018-$64,882

Job Requirements

Age: 18
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid State Driver’s License: Yes
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Keyboarding: 35 wpm

Work Hour Requirements

Will work both day shift and night shift during training period (up to 6 months)
12-hour shifts with rotating days off and alternating weekends
Overtime, including last minute overtime that may be mandatory
Annual seniority-based shift bids

Additional Requirements

Ability to wear a headset that will cover one ear or fit within the ear canal
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a high stress environment
Ability to function well as part of a team

Prior Experience:

Experience working with computers using a Windows based operating system
Experience with Microsoft Outlook
Experience in a public safety environment, preferably in emergency communications (desired)
