Salary Information: $72,592 - $103,703 (This is base pay and does not include routine OT (FLSA) and OT opportunities).

About Summit Fire & EMS: A Legacy of ServiceSummit Fire & EMS is a professional, all-hazards emergency-response organization dedicated to providing exceptional services, including emergency medical response, fire suppression, hazardous material management, technical rescue, and wildfire response.
The organization was formed through the consolidation of several local emergency-response entities, including the fire departments of Dillon, Dillon Valley, Snake River, Frisco, Silverthorne, Copper Mountain, and the Summit County Ambulance Service. Today, Summit Fire & EMS employs a highly skilled team of over 100 career employees, including over 85 emergency responders in addition to our civilian staff members.
With a commitment to professionalism and community engagement, Summit Fire & EMS has become an integral part of the Summit County community, serving approximately 31,000 permanent residents and more than a million visitors per month during peak periods. The district spans 185 square miles and, including unincorporated and federal lands, provides emergency response for a total of 479 square miles.
In addition to serving local residents and visitors, Summit Fire & EMS also acts as the primary emergency-response agency for U.S. Forest Service lands in northern Summit County. As a legally designated special district funded through property taxes, Summit Fire & EMS actively engages in public education, outreach programs, and community events to promote safety and foster relationships.

Lateral Requirements:
To qualify as a lateral hire, at the time of application, the applicant must possess and provide proof of the following.
Laterals will be hired at Grade 2 for $93,333.
