Position Title: Police Officer

The Amtrak Police Department is currently hiring for Police Officer. All candidates must take the FrontLine National exam through National Testing Network.

All candidates must also complete the Personal History Questionnaire located in your candidate profile on National Testing Network.

Salary:

	Entry (Requires Police Academy)	1 Year Post Probationary Position (at 100%)	5 Year Lateral (at 100%)	Top Step (100%)

**Rate as of April 2025; subject to change/adjustments per negotiated FOP

agreement.

**Laterals start at 95% for first year until 1-year anniversary of railroad commission.

Job Requirements

Age:
At least 21 years of age.

Citizenship Required:
Must be a United States citizen or meet the immigration requirements in the state where they will hold a railroad police officer commission.

High School Grad / GED:
High School GED or Diploma.

Driver's License:
Possession of a driver’s license is required before appointment.

Ability to Read/Speak English:
Yes.

Additional Requirements :
Able to obtain a police commission within the state in which assigned or in state of residence.
