Salary Range: $77,508 - $82,228

Vision: Candidates must be able to successfully pass the vision standards included in the pre-employment physical examination. This ensures that all members meet the visual acuity necessary to safely perform the duties of a firefighter, including emergency driving, operating equipment, and maintaining situational awareness in dynamic environments.
College: While not mandatory, college-level education is preferred and will be considered a strong asset during the hiring process.
Prior Experience: For entry-level candidates, no prior fire service experience is required. Lateral candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of continuous service in a full-time, LEOFF2-covered firefighter position.
Necessary Certifications: All candidates must have successfully completed IFSAC Firefighter I and hold a current WA State EMT-Basic certification by the date of application. These certifications are required to ensure applicants possess the fundamental skills and qualifications necessary to be considered for employment as a firefighter.
