Position Title: Entry Level Firefighter/Lateral

Salary:$50,227.53 annually + FLSA

Position Summary:Worley Fire Protection District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Entry Level Firefighter/Lateral. Responsibilities include providing emergency medical care, fire suppression services, and responding to a variety of emergency incidents.
Major Responsibilities:• Provide emergency medical care and fire suppression services.• Participate in training and skill maintenance activities for fire and EMS operations.• Conduct station and vehicle maintenance tasks as assigned.• Assist with fire prevention and public education activities.• Perform other emergency response duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Knowledge of fire suppression techniques, equipment, and procedures.• Knowledge of Emergency Medical Services and Basic Life Support techniques.• Strong documentation and report writing skills.• Ability to communicate effectively with district staff, supervisors, and the public.• Ability to meet the physical demands of firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical work.
Minimum General Requirements:• Must be at least 18 years of age.• Must possess a valid driver's license.• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.• Must obtain a minimum National Testing Network score of 75% OR have five (5) years of full-time Firefighter/EMT experience.
Minimum Professional Requirements:• Firefighter I certification or equivalent.• NREMT certification or equivalent.• Must be able to obtain Idaho certification within a reasonable amount of time.
Selection Process:
Preference may be given to:• Veterans• Advanced EMTs (AEMTs)• Worley Fire Volunteers in good standing
