Part-Time Event Paramedic - Northfield Park

Position Summary :

Northfield Village Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Event Paramedic - Northfield Park.

This position staffs either the First Aid Station at Northfield Park or the Race Track Squad on live horse racing nights. Racing occurs three to five nights per week from 5:30 PM until midnight.

Salary:

Starting Pay: $22.08/hour
Top Pay: $25.74/hour + incentive pay
Pay increases every 6 months until top-out rate is reached
All shifts worked at the race track include a $5/hour premium over standard fire department pay

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Have the mental and physical capacity to meet the job requirements
Be certified as a Paramedic by the State of Ohio by the date of hire
Be a high school graduate
Be at least 18 years of age
Have a valid driver’s license
Submit an unofficial driver’s abstract with the application
Obtain an Ohio Racing Commission license as an EMT
Agree to contribute the OPERS employee contribution share in connection with wages
