The City of New Albany is currently building an ongoing list of candidates interested in a career in communications as a Police Dispatcher.

Department Overview: Led by Police Chief Greg Jones, the New Albany Police Department has 26 sworn positions, seven (7) sergeant positions, and non-sworn positions including police dispatchers and administrative support positions. More than 90% of our uniformed officers have obtained degrees and one-third of our officers are military veterans. The department is comprised of three patrol shifts, two detectives, school resource officers, a DARE officer, a preparedness officer, a K9 officer and an accreditation manager. The department also provides bike patrol and has established a drone program. The Police Department works diligently to provide great service to its community and has achieved a 90% satisfaction rating from the community in the latest community survey.
