The Mount Dora Fire Department is currently hiring four (4) Firefighter/Paramedic Or Firefighter/EMTs. This position requires FireTEAM and a valid NTN CPAT. This posting will remain open until filled.

Starting Salary: $48,544 (+$3.75/hr. - $10,920/yr. Paramedic Incentive)

Applicants must have completed the FireTEAM and CPAT testing through the National Testing Network within the past year.
This job is located in the Operations Section of the Mount Dora Fire Department and is under the general supervision of the Lieutenant. Firefighters will perform individually and/or as a member of a firefighting team and will participate in fire suppression activities, including: firefighting, rescue, first aid, ventilation, forcible entry, salvage, overhaul, and inspection practices. Firefighters will attend classroom and drill ground training sessions on a regular basis in order to continuously update their knowledge and skills required for effective work performance. Decisions are made with guidance of a supervisor and on an individual level, and have a direct effect on life and property. Shift schedule is 24 hours on and 48 hours off. May be required to work additional overtime. The position is subject to emergency recall. General job functions include; (1) Firefighting Emergency; (2) Firefighting - Non-Emergency; (3) Emergency Medical Services; (4) Work Related Activities.
Qualifications
Paramedic Incentive is payable upon completion of the Paramedic Provisional Program in the amount of $3.75/hr.
