Salary Information: $46,500-$61,500 Annually

Department Overview: The Fostoria Fire Division is staffed by 19 full time sworn firefighters that provide fire and specialized technical responses to the 7.7 square mile city (population 13,441) as well as Advanced Life Support EMS for the City of Fostoria and several surrounding townships totaling approximately 29 square mile coverage area. The department works a 24/48 schedule, averaging a 51 hour work week.
Area Information: The City of Fostoria is in Northwest Ohio, approximately 30 miles south of Toledo. The city is located at the corners of Hancock, Wood, and Seneca Counties. The community has a mix of Industrial, Commercial, and Residential properties, with the historic "Iron Triangle", walking distance from downtown. The "Iron Triangle" one of the nation's busiest rail junctions which allows rail enthusiast's the opportunity to view any of the 175 trains that travel through town daily. The City of Fostoria was founded in 1854 and named after Charles Foster, the 35th Governor of Ohio and U.S. Secretary of Treasury under President Benjamin Harrison. Our city is rich with history and architectural design.
