The Reynoldsburg Police Department is currently accepting exam scores to fill open Police Officer positions.
The City of Reynoldsburg is a diverse residential community with a population of over 41,200 residents and covers 12 square miles. Located twelve miles east of downtown Columbus, Reynoldsburg incorporates three counties: Franklin, Fairfield, and Licking. The City of Reynoldsburg offers beautiful green spaces, 275 acres of parkland with numerous sporting fields, walking trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas.
The Reynoldsburg Division of Police consist of 72 sworn officers that include the Chief, Deputy Chief (1), Lieutenants (3), Sergeants (9), and Officers (58). Our various departments consist of a Criminal Investigations Unit, Special Investigations Unit, K-9 Unit, Motorcycle Unit, S.W.A.T., Drone Ops Unit, Crash Team and a Community Resource Bureau.
Salary Information: $71,429.57- $112,525.38 (5 steps. Caps after 48 months) $1.25 Shift differential.

When enrolling for your exam, be sure to select Reynoldsburg Police Department. Test scores are valid for one year. If you have previously tested and did not initially select our department, contact N.T.N. and request to have scores sent to us. There may be a small fee.
Additional Score Credit: There is an opportunity to obtain additional credit towards you passing exam scores. Additional credit applies to those with at least 180 days Military Service, OPOTA Certification or Bachelor’s Degree; you must provide the listed supporting documentation at the time of application. You may only receive credit for one achievement.
Our department does not require a Physical Assessment Test through N.T.N. Reynoldsburg Police Department will conduct a Physical Assessment (Fitness Test) Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 8:00 am.

Citizenship Required : Yes or have declared your intention of becoming a citizen and possess a valid permanent resident card.
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid OHIO Driver's License: Yes
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision: Eyesight correctable to 20/20
Necessary Certifications: Ohio Police Officer Training Academy certificate or the ability to attend and successfully complete a residential police academy as required for appointment.
Schooling prior and Post Hiring: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Tattoo Policy: No Tattoos can be visible on the face, head, neck, or hands. Any visible tattoo must not represent any street, prison, or criminal gang (past or present). No tattoos that would be considered offensive to the public or suggest or depict torture or violence, is gruesome in appearance, suggest or depict sexual activity, use of profanity.
