City/County/Area Information:Monroe is a lively and active community of 20,000+ residents located on the Skykomish River at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains just 30 minutes northeast of Seattle and 15 minutes southeast of Everett and the I-5 corridor. The city is shifting from a small rural community into a diverse, inclusive, and thriving city of regional significance. Residents benefit from quality schools, top-notch parks, and quick access to urban amenities and outdoor activities. Monroe has a vibrant Hispanic community, historic business district, and a strong regional retail and commercial industry serving the greater Skykomish Valley in southeast Snohomish County.

Two or more driver’s license revocations and/or suspensions for driving violations, point accumulation, or failure to appear to pay fine. A traffic history that shows a continuing and/or recent pattern of poor decision-making. Drug Use:Illegal drug substance usage or exposure within past year.Legal or illegal use of marijuana/hashish within the past year.Illegal use of opiates/narcotics (heroin, morphine, etc.) or abuse of prescribed opiates/narcotics.Illegal use of amphetamines/methamphetamines.Illegal use of cocaine over five times regardless of time frame, or a) any use of crack cocaine one time; b) any use of free based cocaine , or c) any illegal injection of cocaine.Hallucinogen (mushrooms, LSD, PCP, etc.) no more than one time, and no uses within the past ten years.Illegal sale of ANY drug, including marijuana.Illegal use of non-prescribed oral or injectable steroids over five sequences/cycles within the last two years.Illegal use of ANY controlled substance while employed in a criminal justice capacity.Pattern of illegal use of prescription medication. Criminal Activity:As an adult, any conviction of a felony offense, or conviction of a gross misdemeanor involving moral turpitude. (Juvenile offenses will be carefully reviewed).Any misdemeanor, or felony conviction while employed in a criminal justice capacity. Conviction of domestic violence.Unlawful sexual misconduct. Employment :One or more terminations. (Leaving an employer in lieu of termination will be carefully reviewed).Dishonorable discharge from the United States armed forces.Work history showing a pattern of unexcused absences. (Discipline and/or discharges will be carefully reviewed). Financial :Failure to pay income tax or child support. Current credit accounts, or unresolved accounts in collection will be carefully reviewed. Pattern of excessive gambling.
