Job Classification: Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic
The Winston Dillard Fire District will be holding an examination to establish a hiring list to immediately fill an open position in the classification of Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic. The list will be comprised of those individuals successfully passing all phases of the testing process. All testing must be completed by August 1, 2019.
Application packet may be found on Winston-Dillard Fire District’s website, http://www.wdfd.net , or they may be picked up in person at Winston-Dillard Fire Station, located at 250 SE Main St. Winston, Oregon, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by calling (541) 679-8721. Application packets must be delivered or mailed. Faxed application packets will not be accepted. The deadline for submitting application packets is 4:00 P.M. on August 1, 2019.

Salary Information: Current Starting Monthly Salary $4,725Which includes Paramedic Incentive
Winston-Dillard Firefighters Are Represented by the International Association of Firefighters- (IAFF) Douglas County Professional Firefighters Local 2091.
Preference Points: Current or prior students with at least one year affiliation with the Winston-Dillard Fire District shall be awarded five points upon the successful completion of all phases of the entire examination.
War veterans, as defined by Oregon Law, who have successfully completed all phases of the entire examination, shall be awarded extra points to passing grades on the set examinations, in accordance with ORS 408.230. If you qualify for Veterans preference points you must complete and submit, with all required documentation, the Veterans Preference Points Form with your application by the June 1, 2019 deadline. The form may be found on our website: http://www.wdfd.net, or at the Fire District’s Station.
A total combined maximum of ten (10) preference points for Veterans and Students will be added to a candidate’s final overall score after completing and passing all phases of the testing process.
