Salary Information: Starting at $18.55 (hourly) EMD/EFD & Night Shift Differentials
Job Description: Mifflin Township/ MECC seeks energetic and dependable individuals to serve as Contingent (Part-time) Dispatchers for the Metropolitan Emergency Consortium Communications (MECC) 911 Center in Gahanna, Ohio.
MECC’s Public Safety Dispatchers / Tele-Communicators work in a dynamic and exciting environment and are the primary link between the public and the fire and emergency medical services for six regional fire departments. The Dispatchers perform a variety of specialized technical and clerical duties involved with the operation of the MECC’s communication center. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment; receive, analyze, process, and disseminate emergency and non-emergency information provided by citizens and public safety personnel via telephone and radio; and provide excellent customer service.
