Can I have a guaranteed spot in an exam session? Am I guaranteed to get into my scheduled Standby exam? No, a standby exam is a chance to take the spot of a person who did not show up to their scheduled Virtual exam. If there are not enough open spots in your session you will be alerted that you did not make it into the session and then will be given a chance to reschedule into another session. This process continues until you are accepted into an exam and can test. What is Virtual Testing Standby? When you are marked as a no show for a virtual exam, you will have the option to schedule into the standby system on your home page. The process is as follows: Pay the fee. Schedule a standby exam. Log in at least 30 minutes before the exam, but the earlier the better. Check in for the exam with the proctor. Wait in the queue for a spot to open up to test. Do I have to pay for standby testing? If you do not show up to test, or you are not prepared or equipped to test, you will be prompted and required to pay a fee if you choose to use the standby testing system. If you did attempt to test and had all of the required equipment, do not pay the fee before contacting the Support team so we can first investigate your situation and discuss the next steps with you. How will I know if I am accepted into the exam? After waiting in the queue, you will be redirected to another proctor who will check your stored ID and start your exam. How early do I need to be waiting at my computer for the exam? You need to be waiting at least 30 minutes before the exam starts, however, the earlier the better as standby exams are first come, first serve. What steps do I need to take to get into the standby queue? You will be given the opportunity to schedule into the standby system on your home page after you are marked as a no show. Can I have a guaranteed spot in an exam session? Yes, but you must re-register and pay for a new exam.
