Not all departments require MM results. Please check the department job listings to see if MM is required or allowed for your selected departments. How long are MM results valid? MM results are good for one year certified by National Testing Network. Some departments may require MM results more recent than one year. Please check the department job listing to see if restrictions apply. How is the MM graded? The MM is made up of a series of 8 events. Each event has a separate time limit and one point may be awarded for a fast enough time. A total of 7 out of 8 possible points is needed to pass the MM. Please see the Candidate Orientation Guide for more details. How are results sent to departments? NTN Departments will have access to your MM results. For departments not selected through NTN, you can print a verification letter of your test results from your account. How often can I take the test? Candidates will have the ability to take the MM as many times as needed to pass. Each attempt at the MM will require the same payment as the initial testing process. Where can I get more information about the MM and how to prepare? Please read the Candidate Orientation Guide and watch the Candidate Orientation Video to prepare yourself for taking the exam. You may also sign up for an orientation session before the exam to further prepare and have the opportunity for hands-on practice. Does NTN accept MM results from other organizations? If you have completed the MM at a test location other than NTN, you must contact the departments on your list to confirm that they will accept your MM results.
